It reminds me of how far we’ve come from the “having a seat at the table” conversation. Today those conversations are more about opportunities to bring your own preferred chair with you and even the chance to create a new table altogether. Creating “opportunity” remains a dynamic enterprise, especially when keeping diversity, equity, and inclusion in mind. It might be defined differently, but what we can agree on is that without access to new opportunities and the agency to act on those opportunities, they will be “opportunities” in name only. We delve into this further in this issue’s cover story about our journey to leveraging high-visibility opportunities (HVOs) grounded in the principles of transparent communication about the availability of these opportunities, increasing leaders' visibility into employees' skills and goals, and aligning the work to support high-impact business priorities. One of those business priorities continues to be diversifying our talent pipeline, and we have a great results story to tell. Over the last three years we have shared the steps taken to diversify our potential talent pool. This has led to amazing results for talent acquisition, which you’ll read about in this issue, as well as the influence of our employer brand and even how we think about internal mobility. As we conclude our three-year action plan and launch the next generation of our DEI approach at Booz Allen, it is with great excitement that we welcome two leaders who will be carrying forward this important mission to embed DEI more closely into Booz Allen's culture work: Vice President Hayden Temin and Principal Stacey Mahoney. Thank you for joining us along this journey as we’ve grown, learned, experimented, and pivoted together. I’m excited to see what fresh new thinking will infuse this mission as we continue our unyielding journey to be unstoppable, together.
